Parish Ministry Opportunities

The ministers of the Church are Lay Persons, Bishops, Priests, and Deacons. The ministry of Lay Persons is to represent Christ and His Church; to bear witness to him wherever they may be; and, according to the gifts given them, to carry out Christ’s work of reconciliation in the world; and to take their place in the life, worship, and governance of the Church.                        The Book of Common Prayer, Catechism, p.855

We encourage EVANGELISM and OUTREACH:

  • St. Philip’s offers and encourages our parishioners to participate in a variety of ministry opportunities. Evangelism is our task of winning others into the eternal family of God, while Outreach is our means of touching the lives of others with the love of God, through a series of activities.
  • The following list of organizations represents the forum through which our evangelism and outreach ministries are carried out. We encourage you to contact us about using your gifts and skills to participate in (or start) a particular ministry of service to others.
